Nokia N96 - Designed for Video and TV Entertainment

For a start, it has a 2.8″ clear and very sharp display screen (TFT with 16 million colors) that is awesome especially when playing videos. Oh, and talking about playing video, it is soo smooth with no hickups thanks to the built-in video accelerator which makes N96 able to support video bit rates of well above 1.5 Mbps, while conserving the power use at the same time.

Finally, a Nokia model we’ve all been waiting for.

Whenever there’s a new smart phone coming out, with touch screen capabilities, I had always thought why didn’t Nokia, a mobile giant capitalize on this next step of mobile phone features.

Samsung, through Omnia and Soul is using the touch screen function at its best capabilities - so why can’t Nokia?

It has all features that makes it an all around multimedia device - competing against the iPhone. As said in the previous post on connectivity, it supports a 3G and Wi-Fi connection for internet connection on top of the standard bluetooth and USB for data transfers. It also offers a 3.5mm jack and also a mini USB port.
