True to its name, HTC Touch is operated through touch and finger scrolls. When it first came out, the new HTC Touch Flo system was a joy, though its not really innovative as iPhone had already stole the flick screen woo. (Oh here we go again, comparing devices with iPhone). However, the first Touch were marred by the lack of memory and processing power. People are complaining that there is no 3G to begin with, but most noticable and annoying is the processing lag which sometimes, or most of the time causes the phone to hang.

HTC Touch 3G - Ultra fast internet

- 2.8-inch TFT Touch Screen
- Next generation HTC Touch Flo system

Learning from this, HTC had came up with HTC Touch 3G. Well, that basically cover the first complain - lack 3G technology which is a must as people are too attached to their work (NOT!) and social networks. Constant communication and updates on friends / colleagues whereabouts are a must have option in any portable devices. With HSDPA / WCDMA support that give users access to 384 kbps uplink and possible 7.2 mbps down-link speed, the HTC Touch 3G has got this department well covered.
HTC Touch 3G - 4 way navigation system for internet, communication and media control
The new HTC Touch 3G also comes with a powerful 256 ROM and 192 RAM, powered by a Qualcomm 528 MHz processor to run the cool looking, easier to use, more practical, next generation HTC Touch Flo system. The HTC Touch Flo 4-way navigation system runs smoothly on Windows Mobile 6.1 and no lagging (no applications is installed) were detected when I first got my hand on this small, sleak and beautiful phone.

HTC Touch 3G - 2.8-inch TFT for effortless touch screen
The significant feature, which is the big 2.8-inch TFT LCD screen is a joy even for the original HTC Touch. It now comes with a 3.2 Megapixel camera which can record still images and video. I wouldn’t say the quality is great, but is at par with what we would’ve expected from a mobile phone camera. It also comes with an internal GPS antenna for satellite navigation, bluetooth 2.0, wi-fi and the other usuals. It weight only 96 gram with battery and a dimension of 102mm(L) x 53.6mm(W) x 14.5mm(T).
Verdict
This is a really good phone with enough functionalities to get everything you need - not so much work and a hell lot of entertainment. This phone is not for businessmen though as there are many other phone that suited a businessman. It’s for teens and chicks, definitely. It plays video smoothly, supports all kinds of music formats, has a high speed internet connection and also a nice user interface. What more could you ask? Oh yeah, money. The price for HTC Touch 3G will be around £328.99 in the UK and also reported to be sold for RM1,999 in Malaysia.
